
Virginia Tola - Amelia (June 27th, July 24th,
31st, August 8th)
Winner of the Operalia Prize in Barcelona, Mrs. Tola began a career that brought
her to important theaters such as: Colòn in Buenos Aires, Palau de les Arts Reina
Sofia in Valencia, Teatro Real in Madrid, Washington National Opera, Opéra in Monte
Carlo, Arena in Verona, La Monnaie in Brussels, Los Angeles Opéra, Teatro dell’Opera
in Rome, Regio in Turin and the opera houses in Klagenfurt, La Plata and Santa Fe.
After her successes as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Contessa d’Almaviva
in Le Nozze di Figaro, Violetta in Traviata,
Desdemona in Otello, Luisa Miller (title role) and
Mimì in La Bohème, she has recently added new roles to her
repertoire, singing Lina in Stiffelio,
Abigaille in Nabucco, Nedda in Pagliacci, Amelia in Un ballo
in Maschera. Mrs. Tola lately sang Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera at
the Teatro Regio in Parma and at the Colon in Buenos Aires, Desdemona in Otello in
Modena and Piacenza and Lina in Stiffelio in Monte-Carlo; Donna
Elvira in Don Giovanni in Oviedo; Falstaff in Sao Paulo.
Besides her opera appearances, Ms. Tola usually performs in concerts all over the
world; she recently appeared in recital besides Placido Domingo in Japan. Mrs. Tola’s
discography includes Ginastera’s Don Rodrigo and Milena
and Bacalov’s Triple Concerto for Delos International.
Among her future plans it is worth mentioning: La Forza del
Destino and a Gala Concert at the Festival Verdi in Parma, a Verdi
Gala at the Gewandhaus Leipzig with Placido Doming and Riccardo Chailly, Ernani
(concert version) at the Opera di Firenze and Nabucco at the
Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège.

Elisabetta Fiorillo - Ulrica (June 20th, 27th,
July 11th)
Internationally acclaimed Elisabetta Fiorillo regularly sings in theatres such as:
La Fenice in Venice, San Carlo in Naples, Regio in Turin, Opera in Florence, Wiener
Staatsoper, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, Opernhaus in Zurich, Deutsche Oper
Berlin, Arena in Verona, Liceu in Barcelona appearing as Eboli (Don Carlos),
Amneris (Aida), Preziosilla (La forza del destino), Ulrica (Un
ballo in maschera), Azucena (Il trovatore).
She will perform Ulrica again at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna.

Seung Pil Choi - Samuel (June 20th, 27th,
July 11th)
Korean born Seung Pil Choi graduated in sacred music at the Chong Shin University
and in singing at the University of Arts in Korea. He then moved to Germany, where
he furthered his studies in chamber music and German repertoire. In 2006 he moved
to Italy, where he graduated in singing at the conservatoire in Turin, in chamber
music at the National Academy in Milan and studied at the Accademia Chigiana in
Siena (with Renato Bruson), at the Accademia Pucciniana in Torre del Lago and at
the Opera Studio at the Teatro Pergolesi in Jesi and in Treviso. Mr. Choi collaborated
with such institutions as Teatro Filarmonico and Arena in Verona, Puccini
Festival in Torre del Lago, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia, Teatro Donizetti
in Bergamo, Teatro Regio in Turin, Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Teatro Lirico in
Cagliari. He recently took part in Simon Boccanegra at the Teatro Verdi
in Parma, Rigoletto at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Fabio Luisi
conducting and Otello in Naples, under Nicola Luisotti.
Plans include:
Aida (Il Re) at the Arena in Verona, Lucia di Lammermoor at the Teatro
Filarmonico in Verona and Simon Boccanegra in Toulon.
